A good skin routine does not need a crowded shelf. Three simple products cover the daily moisturising steps, as long as each one is used in its place.
Rose water: the refreshing step
Rose water works as a toner after cleansing: soak a cotton pad and sweep it gently over the skin, or pour it into a small spray bottle and keep it in the fridge for extra freshness in summer.
Glycerin: always diluted
Glycerin draws moisture into the skin, but on its own it is thick and sticky. The usual way:
Mix one teaspoon of glycerin with three or four teaspoons of rose water.
Shake well before each use.
Apply a thin layer to hands or face after washing.
Shea butter: for dry areas
Shea butter is rich and suits heels, elbows and dry hands. Warm a small amount between your fingers until it melts, then massage it in, ideally before bed.

A suggested daily routine
Morning: cleanse, then rose water.
Evening: rose water, then a thin layer of the glycerin mix.
Before bed: shea butter on hands and heels.
Try any new product on a small patch of skin first, especially if your skin is sensitive.
